What it means

Capricorn is about ambition, structure and long-term results. A New Moon in Capricorn is one of the strongest moments of the year to set professional goals, plan the next stage of your career or start a disciplined practice.

Capricorn rewards patience. Break the big goal into monthly milestones and track them; the satisfaction comes from steady progress, not from a burst of effort.

A New Moon happens when the Moon and Sun meet in the same degree. The Moon is dark, and in astrology it marks the start of a monthly cycle: a quiet moment to choose a direction, set an intention or start something small. Results build over the next two weeks, up to the Full Moon in the same half of the zodiac's story. You do not need a ritual — a clear sentence about what you want to grow is enough.

The sky around this New Moon

A gentle angle to Neptune supports creativity, compassion and spiritual practice. A friendly angle to Uranus brings fresh ideas and welcome change. A steady angle to Saturn helps intentions take a lasting form — good for commitments.

Saturn, the traditional ruler of Capricorn, is at 27°26′ Pisces at the moment of the New Moon. The house it falls in for you is where this lunation turns practical — see "by rising sign" below.

Retrograde at this New Moon: Jupiter and Uranus. Their topics favour review and repair over brand-new launches.

Lunations in the same sign come in pairs about six months apart. What you start at this New Moon reaches its peak at the Full Moon in Capricorn on June 29, 2026, at 8°15′ Capricorn — a natural checkpoint for whatever you set in motion now.
