How to choose

You want no AI at all: pick an app that says its content is written by human astrologers, and check its current statement.
You want a person to talk to: apps with live readers charge for that time, usually per minute or with credits.
You want to learn chart techniques: a chart tool with progressions, composite charts and written interpretations suits you.

How we compared

We used only what each company publishes about itself: its website and its US App Store listing, plus one public reference for dates. We didn't rate apps or quote user reviews. Where a company doesn't say something, we say that rather than guess. Every fact links to its source at the bottom of the page.

Frequently asked questions

Which astrology apps don't use AI?

CHANI says its content is "written by astrologers, not ai", and TimePassages' App Store listing says every interpretation is written by real, experienced astrologers, not AI. Sanctuary's listing describes its readers as "real experts—not algorithms!" Check each company's current statement before you rely on it.

Which astrology apps use AI?

Astraly uses AI to interpret a chart it calculates with astronomical algorithms. Co–Star's App Store listing says its readings come from human astrologers who collaborate with AI. The Pattern's and Nebula's App Store listings don't say how their written content is produced, so we don't guess.

Can an AI calculate my birth chart?

A language model on its own shouldn't be trusted to calculate positions. Good apps calculate the chart with an ephemeris and use AI only to explain it. Our page "Can AI read my birth chart?" explains how to check any reading.

Is this comparison neutral?

No comparison written by one of the apps can be fully neutral, so we limit it to facts each company publishes, link every one, and date the check. If something is out of date, email support@astraly.app and we'll correct it.
